Below is a little list of what’s going down over the weekend and coming up…
We have a lot of bookings this weekend, so if you want a table for dinner then it’s probably best to book in early – and take advantage of some extra value; reserve a table between 6 & 7pm and you can claim 2 courses for £20 and a free glass of wine.
We also have another little offer for you; we recently launched the Sunday Night Saver - get any of our burgers or sandwiches for a tenner.
When you pop in during the evening, you need to indulge in our dedicated chip menu - the chilli cheese chips are the staff favourite.
You should definitely get involved in our new cocktail menu – give the Bacon Bourbon Old Fashioned a go, it’s pretty epic.
Happy Hour - join us for good times and cheaper drinkies from 5-7pm daily.
Yikes, it’s time to think about booking your Christmas party. We’ve just launched our Christmas menus, click here to check them out. We’re doing a set Christmas Lunch menu for £15 per person.
We run SW London’s busiest and best brunch, starting at 9am each day.
Come and check out the new brunch menu, we’ve added French Toast, Huveos Rancheros and a Smoked Salmon Bagel amongst other things.
Reckon you’re a bit crafty? You should come to the Crafty Pint workshop on the 8th October – design and keep your own Tote bag.
On the crafty front, check out the Colporter pop-up - leave the Canteen with a full tum and some awesome pieces for your home.
Oh, you should also check out our new bar snack, beef jerky from Billy Franks. The cheeseburger flavour is awesome as is the BBQ and the Holy Fuck Sauce (from The Rib Man) flavour.
We’ve got the St John’s Hill Festival going on which will see the street filled with stalls, dancing and entertainment. For the event we’re teaming up with Sipsmith and setting up a stall with their top notch Gin & Tonics whilst Ashlaigh will be cooking up Summer Cup Cupcakes. By the way, make sure you take part in the raffle – there will be just one winner but it’s a mega prize that includes a free dinner at every restaurant on the Hill – buy your tickets at the bar.
Of course we’ve also got brunch, starting from 9am, normally the kitchen would close at 4pm (until dinner at 6pm) but we’ll be serving all day on Sunday. That means you can kick back with a lovely Square Mile coffee, have a Bloody Mary and treat yourself to some lovely munch such as Eggs Benedict, our huge Full English or one of our newer brunch items such as Huevos Rancheros.
Now we know it’s a Sunday and that can mean the Sunday Blues start to creep in – to try and combat this we’ve started the Sunday Night Saver. Join us for dinner from 6pm and get stuck into the epic BC Burger or any of our burgers and sandwiches (French Dip, Chicken Burger, Po Boy, Mushroom Burger or the Pulled Pork Bap) and their accompaniments for a flat tenner. Oh also, it’s Happy Hour from 5-7pm… that should help keep the blues away a little.
If you can’t face a full meal on Sunday Night then we’d also recommend some of our sharing dishes such as the Mac & Cheese with Bacon, the epic All Day Breakfast Scotch Egg, our take on Buffalo Wings and of course our Chip Menu – try the Chilli (Con Carne) Cheese Chips, outrageous!
Our friend, Jo, of Jo Butler Flowers has started a pop-up florist in the Canteen. Every Thursday she pops in and leaves some lovely flowers which you can buy.
Now chaps, this represents something of an opportunity. Pop into the Canteen on the way home from work, maybe meet a mate or two for a cheeky beer and perhaps something from our chip menu, and have a lovely time. Now the clever part, buy some flowers and take them home to the missus and score untold brownie points. Guilt free beer.
